Why don't kids get what they want?

How come parents get everything they want and kids have to nag and nag but the parents just say "No." When kids just ask for something like a $2 hair comb why don't the parents just say "yes." It is just a simple thing just to say "yes." Also a $170,000,000 house is more afforable than a 20cent lollypop. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

William it is important for kids to learn that in life you can't always have everything that you want.

Your Mum and Dad could afford to buy you a $2 comb but I think they are trying to teach you a lesson about economics! Your dad is an economist after all.

Parents don't always get what they want. Your dad might want a big car or a boat or to go on a holiday to India, but he has to choose between buying that and buying something else that might be more important - like clothes for all you kids!

There is a song called "You can't always get what you want" by the Rolling Stones, you should ask your Dad to play it for you.
